Regarding the aircraft accident

"Today, June 12, 2025, there was an incident involving Flight AI171, which was travelling from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick," Air India stated on X, corroborating the report. The flight, which was destined for London's Gatwick Airport, carried 232 passengers and 12 crew members, according to Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, head of the directorate of civil aviation, who spoke to The Associated Press. There was also evidence of debris on fire, with dense black smoke billowing into the sky close to the airport.

Television networks said the accident happened immediately after the aircraft took off. On one channel, the jet could be seen taking off over a residential neighbourhood before vanishing from view, followed by a massive fireball erupting from behind the houses.

The comedy Housefull 5 was Akshay's most recent theatrical release. The film, which was produced by Sajid Nadiadwala's Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, features an ensemble cast that includes Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Ranjeet, Johny Lever, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chunky Panday, Dino Morea, Sonam Bajwa, and Soundarya Sharma. Tarun Mansukhani directs it. It has already made over ₹100 crore in revenue.
