Aksharaa Haasan Alerts Film Industry About Scammer Misusing Her Family’s Name, Plans Legal Action

On Thursday, the younger daughter of actor Kamal Haasan, Aksharaa Haasan, who is also an actor, used Instagram to caution the film industry about a scammer using her and her family name. She also said she will soon file a lawsuit against the person for making untrue assertions. She said this:

Beware of scammers, advises Aksharaa Haasan to her followers

"To My Fellow Fraternity Members," wrote Aksharaa in an Instagram post. Be advised that someone named Ibrahim Akhtar is fabricating that my family and I are involved in project creation and running a business out of an office in Ooty, using my name and the names of my family members. These claims are totally false, and we have no connection to him.

She also said that the family will pursue legal action against the person, adding, "We are taking the necessary legal steps to address this issue. Kindly remain cautious and do not engage with or encourage him in any way. Thank you for your attention and continued support." People wrote comments under her article, thanking her for also warning the public against such 'low-life scammers'.

The scammer also targeted members of Aksharaa's family, such as her father Kamal, mother Sarika, and sister Shruti Haasan, but Aksharaa did not identify them.

Recent studies

The R Balki movie Shamitabh, which starred Dhanush and Amitabh Bachchan, marked Aksharaa's debut into the film business in 2015. In 2017, she made her debut in Tamil with Vivegam, which featured Ajith Kumar, Vivek Oberoi, and Kajal Aggarwal. The last time she was spotted was in the 2019 online series Fingertip and the 2022 movie Achcham Madam Naanam Payirppu. She will soon appear in Agni Siragugal.

Mani Ratnam's direction of Kamal's movie Thug Life was released in theaters on Thursday to varied reviews. In Salaar: Part 1—Ceasefire, Shruti was last seen. Sarika will soon appear in Coolie, Train, Jana Nayagan, and Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam. The last time Sarika was in an anthology was for Modern Love: Mumbai.
