On her 51st birthday, actor Karisma Kapoor recognized the warm congratulations from her loved ones and followers. The actor has experienced a difficult month following the death of her ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur, on June 12. She attended the burial in New Delhi and the prayer gathering, where she supported the family along with her children Samaira and Kiaan.

A letter of thanks from Karisma

Karisma posted a sad message on her Instagram Stories on Thursday, which stated, "Thank you everyone for ur warm wishes and support (red heart and folded hands emoticons)."

After Sunjay Kapur's death, this is the first time Karisma has posted a message.

On her birthday, Wednesday, Kareena Kapoor, Karisma's sister, sent a kind message recognizing the challenges they have experienced. "This is my most favourite picture of you both (heart emoji)... To the strongest and the bestest girl in the universe… It’s been a tough year for us," it said.

"But you know what… as they say tough times don't last… the toughest sisters do…" she continued, "Happy birthday My Lolo (heart emoji) @therealkarismakapoor to my Sister, my mother, my best friend."

Concerning Sunjay Kapur's passing

During a polo game in England on June 12, Sunjay passed away. According to Sunjay passed away from a heart attack after apparently swallowing a bee while playing polo in England, as stated by Suhel Seth, his friend and business partner. In their statement, his business, Sona Comstar, attributed the death to a heart attack, but provided no additional information.

In 2003, Sunjay wed Karisma Kapoor, an actress. Samaira, 19, and Kiaan, 13, were the couple's two kids. Karisma and Sanjay submitted their divorce application in 2014 with mutual agreement, and the process was completed in 2016.
