After Game Changer’s Setback, Producer Shirish Reveals Feeling Abandoned and Lost Hope

Shankar's Game Changer, starring Ram Charan, SJ Suryah, and Kiara Advani, is the one movie this year that really caught everyone off guard, and not in a good way. On Sankranthi, the movie was launched amid great anticipation, but the outcome was far from positive. In an unusual conversation with Great Andhra, filmmaker Shirish, Dil Raju's brother, discussed the fallout from the movie's flop.
Shirish discusses how Game Changer nearly "ruined lives" in its failure.
As examples of the risks involved in the film industry, Shirish mentioned Game Changer and Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which were released a few days apart. "Everyone knows how dangerous the cinema industry is," he said. Consider, for instance, Sankranthiki Vasthunam and Game Changer. We believed that with Game Changer, our lives were ended. Sankranthiki Vasthunam gave us hope. Four days were all it took for our lives to alter. Imagine where we would be now if we didn't have that.

Additionally, the producer noted that after the failure of Game Changer, no one, not even Ram or Shankar, contacted him or his brother out of politeness or to provide support. "Did the hero come and help us when Game Changer failed? Did the director come and help us? Out of politeness, no one even inquired as to our well-being. We created the movie out of our desire, and we suffered losses, thus I'm not assigning blame to anyone. We haven't reached the point where we're seeking a refund, he said.
Ram Charan is someone with whom Dil Raju would like to collaborate on another movie.
Shirish stated in the interview that he and Ram were still on good terms, allowing him to present him with another idea. In addition, he stated that the actor is not obligated to them in any way and is free to accept or reject the movie they propose. Raju echoed his brother's sentiments at an event for Nithiin's Thammudu following the interview release. "We feel guilty about not creating a super smash with Ram Charan, and we had a setback this year with Game Changer," he remarked. We're currently attempting to produce a successful movie with him. Hopefully, I'll be able to make the announcement soon.
One of the worst failures of the year is Game Changer. The movie had been in development since 2021 and was produced with a huge budget. Claims that it generated ₹186.25 crore throughout its existence.
