6 months ago | 5 Views
In 2016, Adnan Sami became an Indian citizen after renouncing his Pakistani citizenship. He has since spoken out about a personal tragedy. Despite having family there, the Pakistani government prevented the artist from attending his mother's burial in the nation, as he stated in an interview not long ago.
Adnan told India TV in an interview that he had asked the governments of Pakistan and India for permission to travel to the nation to perform his mother, Naureen Sami Khan's, last rites, who had passed away a few months earlier. The Pakistani government, however, denied him permission despite the fact that the Indian government had given him the okay.
The burial of Adnan's mother is discussed
Since Adnan's mother had no health problems, her passing came as a surprise to everyone, as he said. Reminiscing about the event, Adnan remarked, "I asked the Maine government here whether I could go, and you have no objections to that, right?" He stated, "It's evident that you must go since your mother has passed away." There was no issue from their side (When I asked the Indian government that I want to go, do you have any objection?) 'It's clear, your mother has died, you must leave,' they stated. From their end, there wasn't any issue, according to Adnan.
His visa application was rejected by Pakistan
However, the singer's visa application in Pakistan was rejected. "Maine visa ke liye apply kiya, par unhone refuse kar diya. 'My mother passed away,' I said. Nonetheless, they refused. I was unable to go. From WhatsApp videos, I saw their entire funeral. I had applied for a visa, but the Pakistani government turned me down. I stated, "My mother has passed away." However, they denied me permission to attend. I watched her full funeral via a WhatsApp video," Adnan, who was obviously moved, stated.
