During the chat on the show, Priyanka revealed that Karwa Chauth is, surprisingly, Nick’s favorite Hindu festival. She explained that her mother-in-law, Denise Jonas, plays an integral role in the celebration by sending sargi—the pre-dawn meal—for her every year.

However, the real challenge for the couple often lies in the main ritual: sighting the moon to break the fast.

The Romantic Incident: Moon Sighting on a Private Plane

Priyanka recounted one particularly memorable Karwa Chauth where the moon proved elusive. The incident took place when Nick was performing in a stadium for a concert.

"We’ve searched for the moon everywhere possible," she shared, before describing the frustrating night: "One time, Nick was performing at a stadium. There were about 60,000 to 70,000 people, and we just couldn’t spot the moon. It was completely cloudy, and rain was imminent. We waited until 10 PM, then 11 PM, but still no luck."

Faced with the prospect of her wife being unable to break her fast, Nick Jonas pulled off an astonishingly romantic move. Priyanka revealed the magical solution: “Should I reveal a romantic incident? Nick took me in his plane, above the clouds, and that’s how I broke my Karwa Chauth fast.” This spontaneous, dramatic gesture—flying his wife above the cloud cover just to see the moon—left the audience, and viewers, completely spellbound, cementing Nick’s status as a truly romantic and culturally sensitive husband.
