The creators of Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, which stars Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor, unveiled the highly awaited trailer on Tuesday. The love triangle and blindfolded courtship, which is characterized by vulnerability, are promised in the 2:39-minute teaser. The trailer's combination of romance, intrigue, and emotional depth enthralled viewers.

The trailer's contents

The trailer establishes the atmosphere for a one-of-a-kind romance, which starts with a blindfolded experiment, by introducing Vikrant as Jahaan and Shanaya as Saba. An unusual meeting soon turns into a sincere love affair. Their relationship gets stronger as they travel through beautiful places, filled with instances of humor, passion, and emotional openness.

However, there is turbulence ahead. The couple gradually drifts apart as life presents its fair share of challenges. With hints of unresolved issues between them, Jahaan is seen in a state of heartbreak, while Saba starts a new chapter with someone else.

The trailer ends with a cliffhanger: will Jahaan and Saba ever reunite, or will their romance be a tale of a gorgeous start and a sad finish?

Fans react

Fans appreciated Vikrant and Shanaya's chemistry. One wrote, "Vikrant is awesome... But I've seen the natural acting spark in Shanaya also (sic)."

Another social media user wrote, "Shanaya se itni umeed ni thi pr screen per behtreen pesh kia khud ko (Wasn't expecting, but Shanaya showcased herself well on the screen".

A user wrote, "Sanaya seems promising in this trailer... I think she can be the nepokid who we can't rule out like Alia." Fans also appreciated the film's cinematography. 

One fan wrote, "The cinematographer must be given credit on screen, like others, since it looks beautiful due to great cinematography. Also, the music, acting, and kissing scenes are good.

The film marks the acting debut of Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor. Santosh Singh has directed it, while Mansi Bagla penned the script.  Produced by Zee Studios and Mini Films, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is set to hit theatres on July 11.
