Following the failure of his most recent movie, Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan disclosed how he was repeatedly asked to star in an action picture. Following Laal Singh Chaddha's failure, Aamir told the Indian Express that he felt "depressed, heartbroken, and emotionally battered." He continued by saying that, despite numerous offers, he could have made an action film, but the plot of his forthcoming movie, Sitaare Zameen Par, "really touched" his heart.

"I'm going to be honest: I was really sad, heartbroken, and emotionally beaten after Laal Singh Chaddha, because I hadn't had a flop movie in a long time. I found it rather surprising since I had also enjoyed the movie. As a result, I was quite shocked that others disliked it. 25% of viewers have actually enjoyed the movie, as many people I know adore it. However, I must also confess that 75% of them were not drawn to the movie, did not appreciate my work, and had their problems. I understand and appreciate that. I couldn't, however, bring myself to agree.

Aamir said that the plot of his upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par, moved his heart. "Everyone around me told me to do an action film after Laal Singh Chaddha. I had a lot of offers, I might have done it. However, the narrative of Sitaare Zameen Par really touched my heart. I'm the kind of creative person that has to act once something gets into my bloodstream, he continued.

Regarding Sitaare Zameen Par

His next appearance will be alongside Genelia Deshmukh in Sitaare Zameen Par. The movie will also feature Rishabh Jain, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharmaa, Ashish Pendse, Samvit Desai, Simran Mangeshkar, and Aayush Bhansali. The movie is a family comedy that addresses the difficulties that intellectually disabled individuals encounter as they try to establish themselves in a basketball tournament. It is the spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par.

Aamir portrays an assistant coach for a well-known basketball team in the movie. He is given the option of serving 90 days in the community as the coach of a team of basketball players with special abilities, or he is ordered to go to prison after being fired from his position. On June 20, the film produced by Aamir Khan Productions is scheduled to hit theaters.
