President Droupadi Murmu was given a special screening of Aamir Khan's most recent picture, Sitaare Zameen Par, at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday. The film, which is seen as a spiritual follow-up to Aamir's 2007 masterpiece Taare Zameen Par, has been praised by many for its emotional complexity and powerful social message.

Shortly after the screening, the President's official X account (previously Twitter) posted a photo with Aamir, with the caption, "Acclaimed filmmaker and actor Shri Aamir Khan called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The Hindustan Times review said, "Aamir is good at comedy, and here too he's back to that genre." The comfort is evident in his interactions with his coworkers in this place. Aamir's presence in the first half is the only thing that makes it bearable, and then he ups the ante in the second. Fortunately, the source of conflict between them is not exacerbated, and Genelia does a great job of supporting him as his wife. Dolly Ahluwalia and Brijendra Kala are charming in their roles and make the most of their limited screen time with strong performances.

The movie, which is produced by Aamir Khan Productions, features 10 newcomers who are all particularly talented: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. These up-and-coming actors are joined by Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in the lead roles. The Spanish film Campeones is formally remade in this movie.

The movie, which was directed by RS Prasanna, was released in theaters on June 21. The sports comedy-drama had a respectable start, but it gained a lot of steam throughout the weekend. According to Sacnilk, the picture has already surpassed ₹100 crore in global revenue in only four days.
