For weeks prior to the release of Aamir Khan's first look from Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie earlier this month, there were speculations that the actor had a significant role in the Rajinikanth-starrer. Aamir advised Lokesh that he could no longer tell lies because the rumors surrounding his participation were becoming too widespread, according to an interview with THR India.
Lokesh Kanagaraj was informed by Aamir Khan that he could not lie about Coolie
In the interview, Lokesh said that they made every effort to conceal Aamir's participation in Coolie, including filming with him in secret. "Actually, we don't want the world to know that Aamir sir is a part of it," he stated. We're simply doing our best, thus we filmed him elsewhere rather than as a news outlet. However, rumors and debates existed.
Eventually, Aamir was advertising Sitaare Zameen Par, and he was repeatedly questioned about Coolie. “Aamir sir was like, Lokesh, I can’t lie in front of the camera,” Lokesh stated. For my film, I've been doing it since the morning. Please tell me, sir, it's not a secret in the world, I responded. I'll be in charge of manufacturing. Because sir is spreading the word, I suggested that we publish the poster. What's the difference, really?
Following the follow-up to Karthi's Kaithi, Lokesh mentioned another Hindi film that he will be collaborating on with Aamir. He confirmed rumors that it would be a superhero movie by joking that their partnership would produce a 'new kind of genre.'
Concerning Coolie
The movie stars Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, Monisha Blessy, and Kaali Venkat as coolie stars. The film, which was produced by Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures, will be released on August 14. The plot of the movie is unknown, but Rajinikanth plays Deva, Aamir plays Dahaa, and Nagarjuna plays Simon.
