With Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash in the lead roles, Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is the largest Indian movie ever produced. The score of the movie will be composed by Hans Zimmer, of Dune and Interstellar fame, and AR Rahman. Rahman was astounded by the prospect of collaborating with Hans on a project like Ramayana and writing music, as he stated in an interview with Connect Cine.

Rahman talked about reinventing himself over time and rejoiced at the significant advancements in Indian filmmaking and music composition. After that, he brought up Ramayana, saying, "Who would've thought I'd be scoring with Hans Zimmer on a project like Ramayana, one of the biggest films? It's our Indian culture, and I'm really proud of that project. I hope everything works out.

The composer also discussed the process of collaborating with Hans, saying, "The first few sessions we had were great. The first meeting took place in London, the second in Los Angeles, and the third in Dubai. I have a base wherever Hans goes. I mean, he's quite similar in terms of his inquisitiveness regarding the culture and his receptiveness to criticism. In addition to leading the plot, he also asks, "Hey, I can't understand this, can I bring in a Western perspective?"

Concerning Ramayana

Namit Malhotra and Yash are the producers of Ramayana, which is directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The movie will star Ranbir as Lord Ram, Sai as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, and it will be released in two parts for Diwali in 2026 and 2027. Earlier this month, the film's initial peek was made public, and the reaction was positive. To everyone's pleasure, it briefly featured Ranbir and Yash playing their roles.
