8 Years of Mom: Actors Who Became OTT Stars Post-Sridevi
5 months ago | 5 Views
Sridevi's previous film, Mom, was released in theaters eight years ago. One of the last films to include Pakistani artists on the big screen alongside Indian performers, the picture had a nice blend of both. Some of the Indian performers at the time did not understand that they would be making history in the days following the film's release. With a memorable character, Nawazuddin Siddiqui brought the idea of OTT to India in a year, and Adarsh Gourav, who was hardly known at the time, would experience a tenfold increase in popularity on OTT over the next eight years. Due to the changing nature of entertainment, female performers like Triptii Dimri and Riva Arora were able to make a name for themselves and become well-known after Mom.
Since the release of Mom, Indian performers have risen to prominence in the industry.
