Radhika Merchant, wife of Anant Ambani, was a vision in a rani pink Bandhani anarkali suit during the Ambani family’s Ganpati Visarjan celebrations on August 28, 2025. Her kurta featured traditional Bandhani patterns with a round split neckline, quarter sleeves, and a panelled front adorned with delicate embroidery and tassels. The gota patti embroidery on the cuffs and hem, combined with the flowing silhouette, added a festive charm to her outfit. She paired the kurta with matching Bandhani flared palazzo pants, completing her look with gold bangles, diamond earrings, and elegant sandals. Her hairstyle was a simple centre-parted braid, which added a touch of traditional grace.

Joyous Festivities and Playful Moments

The Ambani family warmly welcomed Ganpati Bappa to their residence, Antilia, in Mumbai on August 27. The next day, Radhika, along with Anant Ambani, friends, and family, participated in the Ganpati Visarjan rituals. During the procession, a delightful moment was captured when Radhika playfully showered flower petals on her husband, who responded with a warm smile. She travelled on a beautifully adorned truck accompanied by loved ones, while Anant walked behind with the security and other devotees, celebrating the occasion joyfully.

The Significance of Early Visarjan

While Ganesh Visarjan takes place officially on September 6 in 2025, according to Drik Panchang, many devotees opt for an early Visarjan, performed one and a half days after Chaturthi Tithi—this year falling on August 28. The early immersion still follows long-standing traditions, where devotees perform Ganesh Puja in the afternoon before immersing the idol, keeping the spirit of devotion alive.
