Vida, the electric two-wheeler sub-brand of Hero MotoCorp, is prepared to unveil its newest product, the Vida VX2. The Vida VX2 electric scooter, which is scheduled to be released on July 1, will be a less expensive alternative to the existing Vida V2, which is available in three trims: V2 Pro, V2 Plus, and V2 Lite.

Depending on the trims, the Vida V2 series of electric scooters is priced between ₹100,500 and ₹1.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The electric scooter Vida VX2 will face competition from the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, Ola S1 Air, and other models when it launches. All three electric scooters are priced close to ₹1.05 lakh (ex-showroom). As a result, the upcoming VX2 is anticipated to have a more competitive price of approximately ₹90,000 (ex-showroom).

Vida VX2 Series Launch on July 1: What All to Expect!

The Vida VX2 electric scooter will have a battery-as-a-service (BaaS) plan, similar to many current electric vehicles in the nation that span various categories, allowing customers to choose a subscription model for the battery pack. With this plan, customers of the Vida VX2 are able to purchase the scooter without having to pay for the battery pack. With the BaaS plan, the VX2 electric scooter is anticipated to cost about ₹70,000 (ex-showroom), making it even more accessible to consumers. The battery pack can be rented to the company by the users on a monthly basis or on a kilometer-by-kilometer basis, depending on their preference.

As the teaser image indicates, the Vida VX2 will take a more subtle approach to design than the V2. At the instrument cluster, a TFT display and an LED lighting package will be available. The electric scooter would have a few less impressive features than V2. Regarding the powertrain, there would be a variety of detachable battery pack options, ranging from 2.2 kWh to 3.4 kWh. The EV is anticipated to have a range of more than 100 kilometers on a full charge. The range of a charging cycle will vary depending on the model of the battery pack.
