Tesla Upgrades Model S & X: Enhanced Range and Sleek New Design Revealed

For global markets, Tesla has launched a series of minor but meaningful changes to its flagship electric cars, the Model S sedan and the Model X SUV. Although they aren't significant, the revisions cover improvements to the design, equipment, and general comfort.

The Model S Long Range version now boasts a driving range of up to 660 kilometers, the highest ever for a Tesla. The revised versions also come with a higher price, with prices rising by as much as $5,000 (about ₹4.3 lakh).

The design changes prioritize subtle improvements over revolutionary shifts on the exterior. The sedan features new 19-inch alloy wheels, while the SUV has 20-inch ones. Larger wheels (21 inches for the Model S and 22 inches for the Model X) are offered as optional upgrades for individuals seeking more road presence.

The performance-oriented Plaid trims, which have revised bumpers and a slightly more aggressive aerodynamic configuration, see the majority of noticeable styling changes. As an optional addition, the Frost Blue paint color has been added to the selection. The Plaid variants also include a new front-facing camera, which is said to be in preparation for improved autonomous features via upcoming software updates.

Features of the Tesla Model S and Model Y

Tesla has focused on improving the high-end atmosphere and in-cabin experience inside the vehicle. New configurable choices have been added to ambient lighting, allowing for greater passenger personalization. A refurbished startup sequence likely includes a "welcome" effect to enhance the overall user experience during startup.

Tesla has also improved the Active Noise Cancelling system in both vehicles, which should reduce wind and road noise, especially on highways. The Yoke-style steering wheel, which has generated debate, is now exclusively available for the Plaid variants and is no longer installed throughout the lineup.

With its three-row layout, the Model X gets one useful improvement, as Tesla asserts that it has expanded the third row's space, which may make it more comfortable for the rear passengers.

Specifications for the Tesla Model S and Model Y

Tesla has been able to get more range out of both cars. The Model S Long Range is now marketed as the longest-range Tesla available, with a claimed range of 660 kilometers every charge. The Model S Plaid still accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour at a breakneck pace, but there is allegedly a sizable decrease in maximum speed, from 321 km/h to 240 km/h. Tesla has not yet provided an official explanation for this alteration.

The Plaid version has a claimed range of 539 km, while the Long Range model has a claimed range of 567 km, representing increases of around 61 km and 33 km, respectively.

These modifications suggest that Tesla may prioritize real-world usability and convenience over sheer performance metrics. Drivers looking for practicality may find higher range figures more appealing, even if the Model S Plaid's lowered top speed will be disappointing for performance aficionados.
