The cost of the Toyota Fortuner, one of India's best-selling SUVs, rose for every model. The price increase affects both the gasoline and diesel models of the Toyota Fortuner, with the gasoline automatic 4x2 model experiencing the greatest increase. The cost of this model has increased by ₹68,000, but the majority of other diesel models, such as the Legender versions and the performance-oriented GR-S, have seen a consistent increase of ₹40,000.
The ex-showroom price of the Fortuner after these modifications ranges from ₹36.05 lakh to ₹52.34 lakh, ex-showroom, depending on the setup.
Toyota Fortuner: Revised price range
With the price increase, the Toyota Fortuner's ex-showroom prices now start at Rs 36.05 lakh for the 2.7-liter 4x2 petrol automatic, which is the base model in the lineup. In diesel, the 2.8-liter 4x2 manual costs ₹36.73 lakh, while the 4x2 diesel automatic is priced at ₹39.01 lakh.
The price for the 4x4 manual diesel option will now be ₹40.83 lakh. Priced at ₹44.72 lakh, the newly introduced mild-hybrid diesel model has a 2.8-liter engine, a 48V battery system, and a 4x4 automatic transmission. With its sportier tuning and high-end features, the GR-S 2.8-liter 4x4 diesel automatic is at the head of the list and costs ₹52.34 lakh.

The Toyota Fortuner mild hybrid was released.
Shortly after Toyota unveiled a new mild-hybrid diesel version of the Fortuner, the pricing was changed. The hybrid model aims for improved fuel economy and enhanced city driveability, thanks to its tested 2.8-liter diesel engine and 48V battery system. The integration of hybrid technology highlights Toyota's gradual move toward greener powertrains, even in the body-on-frame SUV category, despite the fact that it maintains the outside appearance of its traditional diesel equivalent.
The new Fortuner hybrid features improved efficiency and a 4x4 configuration, making it an attractive choice for purchasers who are interested in adventure and lengthy journeys.
Specifications for the Toyota Fortuner
The Fortuner still comes in a wide range of configurations. Both the 2.7-liter gasoline and 2.8-liter diesel engines are available to buyers, and both can be paired with either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. However, the higher-end Legender and GR-S trims, as well as the diesel lineup, continue to be exclusive to the all-wheel-drive (4x4) layout.
The most expensive Fortuner in the lineup is the premium GR-S, which features a sportier appearance, a dynamic suspension, and the position of Toyota's flagship SUV in India.
