Nissan Introduces Magnite CNG at ₹6.89 Lakh, With a Surprising Detail
6 months ago | 5 Views
With an ex-showroom price of ₹6.89 lakh, the Nissan Magnite CNG has been introduced in India. Notably, the Magnite's CNG kit is an aftermarket one, meaning that it is installed at the dealership rather than at the factory. These kits will be installed at fitment facilities that are approved by the government.
According to Nissan, the CNG Kit is entirely created, produced, and quality-assured by the third party Motozen in accordance with national regulatory standards. The Kit components, which will include a 12 kg single CNG cylinder, will be covered by a warranty from Motozen. This environmentally friendly CNG kit will be installed gradually throughout the nation to cater to consumers who are concerned about the environment and sustainable practices.
The initial phase allows Nissan customers in seven states—Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, and Karnataka—to purchase the CNG kit installation through Nissan approved dealerships. Phase 2 will see its expansion to other states nationwide at a later date.
Specifications for the Nissan Magnite CNG
The New Nissan Magnite 1.0 liter, naturally aspirated gasoline engine with the 5-speed manual transmission is the only vehicle that offers the CNG kit option. The exact power output and fuel efficiency data have not yet been released by the manufacturer, but it is anticipated that the CNG-powered Magnite will have a lower power output than its gasoline-powered cousins. Every brand experiences this. As with all other CNG automobiles, the fuel economy is predicted to improve in the meantime.

Highlights of the Nissan Magnite CNG
The 2024 Nissan Magnite still has an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster with improved visuals, a push start/stop button, automated climate control, and USB Type-C connections, among other features. But it lacks an electric sunroof.
In terms of safety, the Magnite comes standard with six airbags, an emergency stop signal, a reinforced body structure, an ISOFIX child seat anchor, a high-speed alert system, and Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) along with Electronic Stability Control (ESC). Additionally, the Magnite now has a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Traction Control, Hill Start Assist, Hydraulic Brake Assist, and an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).
The Price of the Nissan Magnite CNG
At an additional cost of ₹75,000, the CNG retrofitment kit will be available across all the models. The Nissan Magnite lineup, which has a 1.0L naturally aspirated gasoline engine, ranges in price from rs 6.14 lakh to ₹9.27 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
