New NHAI App to Help Motorists Find Cheapest Toll Routes from July

The National Highways Authority of India's (NHAI) Rajmargyatra mobile app will advise drivers on the route with the fewest tolls between two locations. In addition to having a complaint resolution mechanism, the app offers drivers thorough information about the national highways.
The app will assist the traveler in selecting the optimal route to Lucknow from Delhi if there are three options available, according to Amrit Singha, Chief Product Officer, Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) of Indian Highways Management Company (IHMCL), who spoke to the PTI news agency. Additionally, it will demonstrate which route has the lowest toll cost between these two locations. Singha said, "You can travel to Lucknow from Delhi via Yamuna Expressway, or travel by crossing Ghaziabad-Aligarh-Kanpur-Lucknow or Moradabad-Bareilly-Sitapur-Lucknow...The app will inform motorists about the route which will attract the least amount of toll between Delhi and Lucknow."

According to the data collected by the Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) of NHAI, he also stated that two-wheelers and three-wheelers unlawfully enter the Delhi-Gurgaon and Dwarka Expressway, which are subject to access restrictions. According to the ATMS sample data, between June 21 and June 23, there were 1.73 lakh infractions, with over 100,000 involving prohibited vehicles. Singha added that NHAI will probably open a 67-km-long spur connecting Bandikui to Jaipur via the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, which will cut the travel time between these places.
The new four-lane, access-controlled Bandikui-Jaipur route, which cost ₹1,368 crore to construct, is anticipated to be open for traffic testing by the middle of July of this year, according to Pradeep Atri, the regional officer of the NHAI in Rajasthan. It is anticipated that a significant portion of traffic from the ancient Delhi-Jaipur highway will be diverted to this route, which took approximately 2.5 years to build.
It currently takes about four hours to travel from Delhi to Jaipur, 2.5 hours to get to Bandikui through the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, and an additional 1.5 hours to complete the last 67 kilometers. This trip may now be finished in about three hours with the new spur.
