The all-electric XUV700, known as the XEV 7e, was seen undergoing road testing as Mahindra gradually grows its EV range. New spy photos show elements of the electric SUV's design cues, interior details, and technical setup, suggesting that it is moving in the correct direction and should be priced similarly to the XEV 7e.

The XEV 7e, which is situated between the BE6 and XEV 9e in the Mahindra EV lineup, could be available by the end of 2025.

The predicted design of the Mahindra XEV 7e

The XEV 7e retains the well-known form of the XUV700, but it incorporates a few design cues from Mahindra's Electric Vision series, giving it a distinct EV identity, even if the test vehicle is well covered. The aero-optimized dual-tone alloy wheels, inverted L-shaped LED DRLs, and enclosed front grille for lower aerodynamic drag are the most notable external changes.

A panoramic sunroof enhances the premium impression, and flush-fitting door handles, similar to those on the XEV 9e and BE 6, improve the aerodynamics. Even though the XEV 7e has a profile similar to that of the ICE-powered XUV700, these design elements make it clear that it belongs in Mahindra's next-generation electric vehicle lineup.

Mahindra XEV 7e: Anticipated Features

The inside of the Mahindra XEV 7e is anticipated to take significant design cues from the XEV 9e, which embodies a contemporary and tech-focused design language. It will probably have Mahindra's newest two-spoke steering wheel with an LED-lit emblem, as well as a three-piece dashboard layout that seamlessly integrates the infotainment and driver's display. The interior will undoubtedly feature multi-zone climate control, ventilated front seats with memory settings, and an amazing 16-speaker Harman Kardon system with Dolby Atmos for a fully immersive audio experience.

Additionally, it has been said that Mahindra is working on novel battery pack designs, perhaps in the 60–65 kWh range for entry-level models and over 80 kWh for higher trims. Additionally, it is said that the XEV 7e supports ultra-fast charging, which increases its usefulness over long distances and reduces downtime. In addition to AWD arrangements, the XEV 7e is also reported to be offered in RWD configurations. Although the base models may have only one engine on the rear axle, higher trims may get a two-motor AWD system that generates around 325 horsepower.

Introduction Schedule for the Mahindra XEV 7e

The XEV 7e may be formally introduced in late 2025, even if Mahindra has not yet disclosed a release date. The SUV may be teased alongside other electric models at a massive EV event held on August 15, 2025. It will occupy the space between the BE 6 and XEV 9e in Mahindra's growing lineup of electric automobiles when it is released.
