The M9 EV was introduced in India on Monday by JSW MG Motor India, with prices beginning at ₹69.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The EV will start to be delivered from August 10. It competes with models like the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire in the premium electric MPV market. It is being launched as the first item in the MG Select lineup and will be available as a fully equipped electric MPV with all the bells and whistles. It will be available for purchase at the premium retail network along with the MG Cyberster, which is another fascinating electric vehicle made by the automaker.

The traditional, square shape of the MG M9 EV is similar to that of an MPV. Its features include low-positioned headlights, significant front and rear overhangs, big connected taillights, and more. The MG M9 EV has a wide array of state-of-the-art technology-assisted capabilities in the cabin. All three rows of chairs have a mix of brown and black upholstery. One of the EV's main selling points is the powered captain seats for the back passengers.

A 12.23-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 7.0-inch fully digital driver's display, digital IRVM, cabin air filter, panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, 13-speaker JBL sound system, leather and suede upholstery, powered front and rear seats with heating, massage, ventilation, connected car tech, and other features are among the highlights.

The MG M9 EV features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) capability. The MG M9 is equipped with a wide range of safety features. It includes front and rear disc brakes, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), an electronic stability program (ESP), a Level 2 ADAS package, a 360-degree surround view camera, seven airbags, and other features.

A 90 kWh battery pack that gives a claimed range of 548 kilometers on a single charge powers the electric vehicle. With the electric motor generating 245 bhp of peak power and 350 Nm of maximum torque, it has a front-wheel-drive configuration.
