Kinetic Honda DX Set for a Modern Revival as an Electric Scooter

5 months ago | 5 Views

The Kinetic name would be fondly remembered by the children of the 1990s. The Kinetic Honda ZX scooter was the car that many people grew up with, and for others, it would have been their first two-wheeler as an adult. It now seems that the Kinetic Honda DX scooter may soon make a reappearance as a fully electric model. The Kinetic Group has filed a patent for an identical design for its upcoming electric scooter, according to a recent design patent.

Kinetic Honda DX: a two-stroke scooter featuring a CVT automatic transmission

The Kinetic Honda DX scooter was manufactured between 1984 and 2007 as a joint venture between Kinetic Engineering of India and Honda Motor Company of Japan. The Indian version, which was based on the Honda NH Series scooters, employed a 98cc two-stroke, air-cooled engine. Instead, the new model will be all electric. After the E-Luna lately, this would be Kinetic's second effort at resurrecting a historic brand name.

Specifications on the upcoming electric scooter remain under wraps for now
Details about the forthcoming electric scooter are still kept secret.

The Kinetic Honda DX: Will it make a return anytime soon?

The new scooter, which looks to be heavily influenced by the Kinetic Honda DX, has had its design patent filed by Kinetic Green, which is a member of the Kinetic Group. With the exception of the new Kinetic Green emblem on the front apron and a rectangular LED headlamp assembly that follows the same design but includes new LED DRLs, the design appears to be almost identical. The side panels have been modified to reflect the spirit of the original model, while the rear has a new grab rail in place of the spare tire that the original had. The 'Kinetic' logo is displayed on the design patent's tiny flyscreen, as opposed to the 'Kinetic Honda' logo that was on the original.

The future Kinetic electric scooter's technological specs are still kept a secret. However, expect the model to appeal to families looking for a good balance between range and performance. The launch details are still unknown, but we anticipate Kinetic to release additional information in the next few months. The brand continues to post stories on its social media sites about the history of the Kinetic Honda scooter, which is noteworthy.

The forthcoming Kinetic electric scooter will compete with the Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta, TVS iQube, Ola S1 X, and other models in the family electric scooter market, which has a large selection. Beyond the nostalgic lure, it will be fascinating to see what Kinetic has in store.
