The South Korean automaker has integrated the K-Charge platform into the MyKia app in advance of the introduction of the Kia Carens Clavis EV. In collaboration with 18 top Charge Point Operators (CPOs), this gives customers access to more than 11,000 charging stations all around India. It covers both city and highway routes, accommodating both everyday commutes and lengthy trips.

Intriguingly, Kia India intends to increase the number of K-Charge charging stations to more than 20,000 by the middle of 2026. In addition, Kia's 'EV Route Planner' is also integrated into the MyKia App. The goal of the route planner is to assist users in finding charging stations, seeing real-time slot availability, and paying for charges straight via the application.

The basis, according to Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer of Kia India, enables the automaker to promote the next wave of EV adoption throughout the nation, making electric driving viable, dependable, and available to everyone. "We are confident that this will not only improve the ownership journey but also bolster our position as a leader in the rapidly evolving mobility sector," he continued.

The Kia Carens Clavis EV: What to Anticipate

July 15, 2025, is the scheduled release date for the Kia Carens Clavis EV. It will be the company's first electric vehicle manufactured in India. The EV is anticipated to have many of the same features as the fossil fuel-powered Carens Clavis, of which it is the electric version.

Nevertheless, Kia India has stated in its social media article that the Carens Clavis EV will be able to go up to 490 kilometers on a single charge. In the Kia Carens Clavis EV, the electric engine is predicted to generate around 133 horsepower at maximum in the 42 kWh battery pack variant and 169 horsepower at maximum in the 51 kWh battery pack version.

The Kia Carens Clavis EV is anticipated to be loaded with cutting-edge, technology-assisted functionalities. This electric MPV is anticipated to have a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, a wide range of connected car options, a 360-degree surround view camera system, a Level-2 ADAS suite, and more. It is expected to come with six airbags as a standard safety feature. As with many current electric vehicles, expect it to have V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) and V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) technology.
