At a price of ₹25,000, reservations for the Kia Carens Clavis EV will begin on July 22, 2025. The Kia Carens Clavis EV is the fully electric version of the Carens Clavis, which is powered by an internal combustion engine. The Carens Clavis EV costs between ₹17.99 lakh and ₹24.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes in four trims: HTK+, HTX, ER HTX, and ER HTX+.

The Specifications of the Kia Carens Clavis EV

The Clavis EV has two battery pack choices to meet the various needs of its users. The entry-level versions come with a 42 kWh lithium-ion battery that has been officially tested and found to have a range of 404 kilometers. The electric motor that drives this model has a power rating of 132 bhp and 255 Nm of torque. Conversely, the extended-range (ER) models claim a range of 490 km thanks to a 51.4 kWh battery pack.

Although maximum torque is still the same at 255 Nm, this bigger device is coupled with a more potent 169 horsepower engine. Both setups provide four regenerative braking settings, including the user-friendly i-Pedal mode, which allows for one-pedal operation. For a more personalized experience, regenerative braking can also be regulated using paddle shifters.

Kia Carens Clavis EV: Design

With the exception of electric-specific changes, the ICE Carens Clavis has the same design language. The LED DRLs run across the width of the front profile, while the charging port is located within the closed grille. In order to maximize cabin area, the remainder of the design is likely to remain the same.

The electric Carens Clavis now has a unique appearance thanks to its new 17-inch aero alloy wheels. Although the model also includes an underbody cover, its ground clearance of 200 mm is 5 mm more than that of its ICE equivalent.

The Kia Carens Clavis EV's Features

The cheapest three-row electric vehicle on the Indian market is the Kia Carens Clavis EV. By moving the gear shifter to the steering column rather than a standard shifter, Kia has freed up room. The electric MPV has a 26.6-inch panoramic screen that includes two screens for the digital console and entertainment system.

The model inherits features like Level 2 ADAS, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a one-touch tumble-down second row seat, ventilated front seats, an electrically adjustable driver's seat, ambient lighting, an air purifier, and a host of other features, in addition to having over 90 connected functions.
