Total sales at Bajaj Auto increased by a little 1% in June 2025, driven by robust export demand despite continued decline in domestic sales. According to information published on Tuesday, the Indian producer's sales increased from 3,58,477 units in June of the previous year to 3,60,806 units in June. In June 2024, there were 1,88,460 units sold domestically, a 13% decrease from the 2,16,451 units sold during the same period last year.

The decrease in domestic sales was mostly due to a decline in private two-wheeler sales, which totaled 1,49,317 units for the month. This represents a 16% decrease in sales from the 1,77,207 units sold in June 2024. In June 2025, domestic market sales of commercial vehicles totaled 39,143 units, a decrease of only 100 units.

On the other hand, exports increased 21% to 1,72,346 units, with commercial vehicle exports increasing 49% and two-wheeler exports increasing 18% from the same time last year. Bajaj has been able to counterbalance its existing weakness in the home market with this strong export performance.

Sales of Bajaj vehicles: April to June year-to-date figures

Bajaj Auto's overall sales for the April–June period increased by 1% to 11,11,237 units. In the face of declining domestic demand, the company's increasing dependence on foreign markets was evidenced by a 16% increase in exports during the quarter, whereas domestic sales fell by 8%.

The Indian manufacturer's sales report for FY25 showed a 3% rise in domestic two-wheeler sales and a 13% gain in exports over the data for FY24. The number of two-wheelers that Bajaj sold in India increased from 22,50,585 in FY24 to 23,08,249 in the subsequent fiscal year. The number of exports increased from 14,77,338 units in FY24 to 16,74,060 units in FY25.

In total, the firm sold 39,82,309 two-wheelers in FY25, of which 4,42,467 were exported in Q4 2025 and 5,01,096 were sold domestically.
