Hyundai Teases Ioniq 6 N: High-Performance Electric Sedan Set for July 2025 Reveal

5 months ago | 5 Views

With the release of several teaser photos by the South Korean automaker today, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N gets closer to an official launch. Earlier this year, we hinted at the forthcoming high-performance electric sedan, which is an extension of the Ioniq 5 N's success, which was released two years ago. The Ioniq 6 N is the most recent addition to Hyundai's N lineup of high-performance variations, which the company is trying to grow.

The teaser photos, which highlight the electric sedan's silhouette, rear wing, taillights, and other features, don't give away much. The Ioniq 6 N retains the MY26 Ioniq 6's design modifications, which include a sharply curved hood and smooth LED DRLs that make it aerodynamically efficient. It has new lightweight wheels and flared-out fenders that give it a considerably broader stance. The back end has a big wing and a ducktail spoiler, both of which were created after extensive testing for aerodynamic performance.

The taillights will have LED lighting components in the shape of pixels. The automobile will have a dotted line of smaller pixels arranged horizontally across the trunk lid, even if it doesn't appear to have a connected taillamp.

Hyundai Ioniq 6 N: Specifications

The Ioniq 6 N will likely be built on the same E-GMP platform as the Ioniq 5 N and will share its 641 bhp electric powertrain.
The Ioniq 6 N will probably have the same 641 bhp electric powertrain as the Ioniq 5 N and be constructed on the same E-GMP platform.
According to Hyundai, the Ioniq 6 N represents three fundamental performance pillars: "Corner Rascal," "Racetrack Capability," and "Everyday Sportscar." In this regard, the electric sedan is anticipated to live up to expectations. The Ioniq 6 N is anticipated to retain the 641 bhp all-wheel-drive electric powertrain that powers the Ioniq 5 N, although no information on the specifications is currently available.

The Ioniq 5 N is based on the E-GMP (Electrified-Global Modular Platform), which also supports the Ioniq 6 and Kia EV6. It has a dual-motor configuration, with the front electric motor generating 222 bhp and the rear electric motor producing 377 bhp. As a result, the Ioniq 5 N can reach speeds of 260 kmph and accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.4 seconds. It has an 84 kWh battery pack that allows for a driving range of 355 km on a single charge. The Ioniq 6 N will probably have similar specs, if not exactly the same, and be constructed on the same platform.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed in July 2025 will be the site of the Ioniq 6 N's official launch by Hyundai. The sedan should have a little extra cost while remaining below the $70,000 limit (₹59.87 lakh), with the Ioniq 5 N priced at $66,200 (₹56.62 lakh).
