Hyundai Ioniq 6 N Makes Global Debut at Goodwood Festival

4 months ago | 5 Views

The Ioniq 6 N was formally unveiled by Hyundai Motor Company during the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Hyundai Ioniq 6 N has been hailed as a turning point in the electrification path of its high-performance N division. Following last year's Ioniq 5 N, this newest offering builds on Hyundai N's electric motorsport experience to produce an electric car that is both track-ready and street-capable.

Hyundai N's three-pillar philosophy—Corner Rascal, Racetrack Capability, and Everyday Sportscar—forms the foundation of the Ioniq 6 N. Due to reengineered suspension geometry, sophisticated vehicle control software, and improved acoustic feedback systems, the new electric vehicle delivers exhilarating track performance combined with the refinement one would expect from a daily driver, according to Hyundai.

Hyundai Ioniq 6 N: Performance battery

Using N Launch Control, the Ioniq 6 N accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, producing 650 PS (478 kW) and 770 Nm of torque. It can reach a maximum speed of 257 kmph. The vehicle is equipped with an updated N Battery management system with improved temperature control and faster conditioning times, allowing it to handle any situation, from drag races to endurance runs, without compromising reliability.

Features that boost aerodynamics, like wider fenders and a swan-neck rear wing, highlight its powerful appearance while simultaneously increasing its stability at high speeds. The new Performance Blue Pearl finish, which gives the car a richer, more polished appearance, complements this.

Other technical highlights include the newly developed stroke-sensing ECS dampers for electronically controlled suspension, which improve ride comfort and handling accuracy whether on the street or on the track. The lower roll center geometry helps improve grip and stability at high speeds.

Hyundai Ioniq 6 N: Software

The Ioniq 6 N has a number of in-house created control technologies designed to improve driver involvement. N Active Sound+ uses stereo speakers to replicate a variety of engine sounds, providing options like Ignition, Evolution, and Lightspeed. Depending on the driving situation or mood, these may be changed.

The N e-Shift technology from Hyundai simulates the sensation of close-ratio gear changes, which are common in high-performance gasoline vehicles, and it works in conjunction with features such the N Torque Distribution, N Drift Optimizer, and N Grin Boost. By dynamically lighting the interior to display the best shift points, the new N Ambient Shift Light improves the driving experience.

The N Track Manager function is a boon for track aficionados since it gives comprehensive performance data, allowing drivers to design unique tracks, keep track of lap times, and even see ghost vehicles for competitive benchmarking. Drift optimization tools that enable precise control over drift parameters enhance the system.
