Kia entered the Indian market with the Seltos Beck in 2019. The SUV helped the brand establish itself and last year, Seltos got its first facelift. Now, Kia has announced that they are collaborating with Bollywood actor Bobby Deol for Kia Connect which is Kia's connected car technology. Bobby has gained quite a bit of popularity in the past recent years in movies and TV shows like Animal and Aashram.

In 2023, Kia made a significant change by replacing the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine with a brand new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. This upgraded engine delivers an impressive output of 158 bhp and 253 Nm of torque. It is available with either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT transmission.

On the other hand, the 1.5-litre diesel engine and the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine have remained unchanged. Both engines continue to produce approximately 115 bhp of maximum power. The diesel engine generates 250 Nm of torque and can be paired with either a 6-speed iMT or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. As for the naturally aspirated petrol engine, it produces 144 Nm of torque and can be coupled with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or an IVT automatic transmission.

Kia recently added two new variants to the Seltos' lineup that helped up in making the variants with automatic transmissions more affordable. The Seltos HTK+ petrol-CVT is priced at 15.40 lakh, while the Seltos HTK+ diesel-AT is priced at 16.90 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom.
