Bajaj Auto Posts 9% Year-on-Year Growth in May 2025 Two-Wheeler Sales; Export Figures Revealed

The May 2025 results for Bajaj Auto were released recently. During the time, the bikemaker sold a total of 3,32,370 pieces. When compared to the 3,05,482 units sold in May 2024, two-wheeler sales have increased by 9%. The export statistics also demonstrated an increase of 20% from 1,17,142 units exported in May 2024 to 1,40,958 units in May 2025.

Sales of Bajaj two-wheelers in the domestic market increased by 2% from the previous month, showing a modest improvement. In contrast, in April 2025, 140,958 automobiles were sold, compared to 117,142 units during the same month of 2024.

YTD figures for April–May 2025

The April-May 2025 figures for the bikemaker showed little gain year to date. Against 2,41,981 two-wheeler units in April-May 2024, the manufacturer shipped 2,70,280 units in the same time period in 2025, a 12% increase. The manufacturer sold 3,80,027 units domestically between April and May of 2025, compared to 4,05,290 two-wheelers between April and March of 2024.

Q4 FY25 and FY25 annual results

The indigenous vehicle manufacturer also published its sales report for FY 2025, which showed a 3% increase in domestic two-wheeler sales and a 13% gain in exports when compared to FY 2024 statistics. In India, Bajaj sold 22,50,585 two-wheelers in FY24; in FY25, that number climbed to 23,08,249. Measured by the quantity of units sold, export volumes climbed from 14,77,338 in FY24 to 16,74,060 in FY25.

The manufacturer also released data for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025, which shows a 3% increase in total domestic two-wheeler sales volumes. With a 20% increase Y-o-Y in Q4 2025, the shift was primarily driven by the manufacturer's expanding sales volumes in the export markets. However, in the local market, Bajaj's two-wheeler sales declined by 7% year-over-year.

In FY2025, Bajaj sold a total of 39,82,309 two-wheelers, including 5,01,096 units sold locally and 4,42,467 units exported only in the fourth quarter of 2025.
