2025 BMW CE 04 Teased: A First Look at the Upcoming Electric Scooter

On July 3, 2025, BMW Motorrad will introduce the new CE 04 electric scooter. The scooter's matte blue color scheme, as seen in a teaser picture, suggests a visual makeover. The teaser has led to conjecture about cosmetic and feature changes, but the official details have not yet been revealed. The CE 04 had its worldwide premiere in 2022, but it wasn't formally introduced in India until 2024, when it cost ₹15.25 lakh at the ex-showroom.

The 2025 BMW CE 04: Design

The CE 04's novel design has been its primary claim to fame, and it seems the new model has maintained this originality. The teaser's matte blue hue suggests that BMW may be releasing new color palettes in an effort to revitalize the aesthetics.

However, it is unknown if the facelift includes significant bodywork changes or minor modifications. Its current CE 04 model has a low profile, angular and pointed body panels, and a flat, long seat that gives it an urban maxi-scooter appearance. While the new model should retain this aesthetic DNA, it may introduce different trims or customization options.

Features of the 2025 BMW CE 04

With this update, BMW may continue to add features to the CE 04's already impressive technology lineup. Keyless start, LED lights, a reverse gear, and three riding modes (Eco, Rain, and Road) are all included in the current model. A massive 10.25-inch TFT display dominates the dashboard and displays real-time ride and charging data, GPS navigation, and smartphone integration.

Additionally, BMW offers optional Comfort and Dynamic packages that include features such as heated grips, a backrested seat for increased support, adaptive headlights, and further customization choices for comfort and handling.

2025 BMW CE 04: Details

The revised CE 04 will probably maintain the proven mechanical configuration of the existing model. That consists of a liquid-cooled electric motor that generates 41 horsepower and 62 Nm of torque, allowing for a 0–50 km/h acceleration in 2.6 seconds. It has a top speed of 120 km/h and draws power from an 8.5 kWh battery, which is said to provide a range of 130 km on a full charge.

The scooter's chassis is made of steel tubing with two loops, and its suspension system consists of a single-bridge telescopic fork up front and a single-sided swingarm with direct suspension in the back. 265mm disc brakes combined with 15-inch wheels are used to control the braking on both ends.

The price and release date of the 2025 BMW CE 04

The updated CE 04 will be released worldwide on July 3, 2025, and its price is anticipated to be similar to or slightly higher than the current model. In India, the scooter was first displayed in 2019 at a price of ₹15.25 lakh, excluding showroom fees. By enhancing the CE 04's design, increasing its technology package, and perhaps even its efficiency, BMW Motorrad is set to strengthen its appeal with the soon-to-be-released upgrade.
