Apple has introduced the iOS 18.4 beta, which includes several new features related to Apple Intelligence, such as review summaries and Visual Intelligence, specifically for the iPhone 15 Pro models, among others. However, this beta version does not include the highly anticipated upgrade to Siri, which users have been eagerly awaiting for over a year. Recently, analyst Mark Gurman indicated that Apple might postpone the rollout of the enhanced Siri version, leading to significant disappointment among users. In a surprising development, Apple has now confirmed that the more sophisticated Siri features will be delayed until 2026 due to their complexity. Delayed Apple Intelligence features

Apple representative Jacqueline Roy communicated with Daring Fireball, confirming the postponement of a significant feature related to Apple Intelligence. This feature was intended to enhance the capabilities of Siri, the iPhone's voice assistant, by incorporating personal context, onscreen awareness, and additional functionalities. The spokesperson remarked, “It will take us longer than anticipated to implement these features, and we expect to begin their rollout in the upcoming year.”

The report indicated that Apple is developing a new cloud computing framework integrated within its chip to facilitate data processing while simultaneously safeguarding user privacy. This endeavour has introduced considerable complexity to the development process, contributing to the delay in the advanced version of Siri. Consequently, the forthcoming iOS 18 update will not include these enhanced Siri features. It is anticipated that this advancement will be introduced during the next operating system cycle, specifically with iOS 19. However, the official rollout may not occur until iOS 19.4 in 2026.
