PBKS vs MI Match Relocated from Dharamsala to Ahmedabad

The IPL match between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians, set for Sunday afternoon in Dharamsala, has been relocated to Ahmedabad. This relocation was required after the Dharamsala airport was closed for passenger flights due to a government order.
"A BCCI statement indicated that the venue change is due to logistical difficulties," the statement noted.
Dharamsala previously hosted the Punjab Kings vs. Delhi Capitals match on Thursday since both teams were already located in the mountainous area of Himachal Pradesh.
Following their match on Thursday, plans will be made for PBKS to travel to Delhi by road before they catch a flight to Ahmedabad on Friday. MI will arrive in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
The PBKS-MI game will still be categorized as a home match for the Punjab franchise. The ticket sale process has already begun, and PBKS will retain the gate revenue. As Sunday is a day with two matches, the game will occur in the afternoon as originally scheduled.
Previously, Mumbai was proposed as a backup location for the match. This would have required PBKS to sacrifice their home advantage to their rivals. Furthermore, it was not the most feasible choice since Mumbai has experienced unusual rainfall.
