Shah Rukh Khan giving a speech for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ahead of their IPL 2024 match with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is out and is now going viral for all the right reasons. The speech is slightly different from what was in his movie Chak De! India but it still manages to take you back to the special sattar minute speech in the movie.

SRK’s speech

“It’s always good to see when we’re playing like a unit,” Shah Rukh Khan addressed all the players of his team, KKR. He then went on to request the senior and international players to take the younger players along and let them know about the experience the great cricketers have. “Make sure they grow into great cricketers like what the seniors and international players are,” he said while thanking the younger players. This led to roaring applauds from everybody present there (it began with SRK rooting for everybody in his team).

Chak De! India speech

Shah Rukh Khan’s Chak De! India speech, where he motivates his hockey team as their coach, is one of the most iconic scenes from the film. The sattar minute speech proved to be motivational for many. It spoke about living the very 70 minutes because it will become a memory for the rest of their lives. The coach refused to teach his team how to play the game but instead asked them to show him and everybody who didn’t believe in them, what they have got and can achieve in the very 70 minutes. With the speech for KKR, it looks like SRK did the same magic and absolutely won!

KKR wins the match

KKR was playing against LSG till some time back. Shah Rukh Khan’s team, co-owned with Juhi Chawla and Raj Mehta, won the match. KKR won by eight wickets, when there were 26 balls left.
