Prabhas, the Telugu superstar is joining hands with acclaimed director Nag Ashwin for his next outing, Kalki 2898 AD. The highly anticipated project, which is touted to be a futuristic science fiction film, marks the Telugu cinema debut of Bollywood diva, Deepika Padukone. The highly anticipated project, which features legendary stars Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in pivotal roles, is gearing up for a Summer release, on May 9, 2024. 

Recently, renowned musician Santhosh Narayanan, who has composed the songs and original score for Kalki 2898 AD, performed at the ‘Neeye Oli’ concert which was held in Chennai. Interestingly, the celebrated music director surprised his audience by presenting an unreleased music glimpse of the movie exclusively at the concert.

The talented musician performed at the ‘Neeye Oli’ concert, which was held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium of Chennai, on February 9, Friday. Interestingly, Santhosh Narayanan surprised the audiences by presenting the yet-to-be-released Kalki 2898 AD music glimpse at the concert. The videos of the performance are now going viral on social media, and has clearly left both the Prabhas fans and cine-goers highly excited.

From the stunning music glimpse video, which is now winning the internet, it is safe to assume that Kalki 2898 AD is going to be an extraordinary visual experience for the viewers. It is also evident that Santhosh Narayanan has composed an out-of-the-world background score for Nag Ashwin’s passion project, which is set in a futuristic, dystopian space. The netizens, who are now going gaga over the unreleased music glimpse video, are confident that Kalki 2898 AD will beat Prabhas’s Baahubali franchise when it comes to the technical aspects.

All about Kalki 2898 AD

As you may know, Prabhas is reportedly set to play the titular character Kalki, a saviour in the Nag Ashwin directorial. Deepika Padukone is set to play the female lead in the film. Kamal Haasan is appearing as the lead antagonist in the movie, which stars Amitabh Bachchan in a pivotal role. Bollywood actress Disha Patani, Pasupathy, Saswata Chatterjee, and others are playing the supporting roles in the film.

Along with the main star cast, many popular stars of South cinema, including director SS Rajamouli, Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, Vijay Deverakonda, Anna Ben, and others are reportedly making cameo appearances in the magnum opus. Djordje Stojiljkovic is the director of photography. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao handles the editing. Kalki 2898 AD is bankrolled by the prestigious banner Vyjayanthi Movies.
