One of the much-anticipated films from the Tamil industry is Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, starring Nivin Pauly, Anjali and Soori in the lead roles. While the film had its premiere at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam recently, the makers dropped an update about the film.

The first single from Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai is set to drop very soon, the makers announced on social media recently. The album for the film is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

The first single is titled Marabudi Nee will be released on February 14 at 6 pm, for the occasion of Valentine's Day. While they did not reveal who has sung the song, it is penned by Madhan Karky. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai.

Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai gets positive reception in festival circuit

Directed by filmmaker Ram, Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai premiered at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam and got positive reception. The film had garnered fervent admiration from audiences and critics alike. It was selected for the Big Screen Competition category and had three screenings open to the public, held at Pathé Cinemas in Rotterdam. Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai received thunderous applause , with the audience appreciating the film for its mysticism, action, humour and romance.

Team behind Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai

Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai will mark the first time Ram is working with Nivin Pauly and Soori. With the music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the makers had released a glimpse of the film earlier. It revealed Nivin to be playing an 8,000-year-old man, hinting that the film will touch upon rebirth and span across generations.

It is to be noted that in Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, Soori plays a leading character instead and has not been roped in for comic relief, which is usually the case. A release date for the film is yet to be announced, but it is expected to release sometime in summer 2024. The film is shot by cinematographer NK Ekhambram with Mathi VS as the editor.
