One fan remarked, “Rashmika’s character will die in the film. It is confirmed now,” while another speculated, “I think Rashmika will die in the movie! It appears that Salman is imagining her presence with him.”

There have been speculations about the film being a remake of Vijay's Sarkar, with some social media users drawing parallels to Prashanth Neel's Salaar featuring Prabhas. However, director AR Murugadoss has clarified the situation.

“This is a wholly original narrative. Each scene and frame of Sikandar has been crafted with authenticity, providing a unique story and experience. It is neither a remake nor an adaptation of any existing film,” Murugadoss stated, further emphasizing, “A crucial aspect of the film's originality is its remarkable background score, composed by the exceptionally talented Santosh Narayanan. His music perfectly aligns with the film’s dynamic tone and vivid visuals, adding an emotional richness that enhances every scene.”
