The shooting of Shakib Khan’s Tofaan began as Mimi Chakraborty started to work in the first Bangladeshi movie production. Directed by Raihan Rafi, the film is gearing up for release this Eid. Along with Mimi, Bangladeshi actress Nabila will star opposite Shakib Khan in the movie. Now, it has been revealed that Chanchal Chowdhury will also play a special role in the film.

Speaking about his role in the film, Chanchal said, “I’ll be playing a special role in Toofan. Raihan Rafi is a talented director, and I have a great personal relationship with Shakib. It's exciting to work with them. I'm sure something remarkable will come out of it.”

Toofan is a joint production between SVF Bangladesh, Alpha-i, and Chorki. Another major film titled Dumm has been announced. Directed by Redwan Rony, Chanchal will play the lead role.

Meanwhile, director Raihan Rafi is currently busy with the final preparations for Toofan. He expressed his pleasure at having Chanchal Chowdhury and Shakib Khan together in the movie. “Chanchal Bhai is a powerhouse actor in our country, and it's an honour to have him join Shakib Bhai in Toofan,” he said.

On the other hand, Mimi is also excited about the film. In an interview with OTTplay earlier, she said, “I have done a music video in Bangladesh but that’s all. I never worked in a Bangladeshi film. It is very exciting to be in a film that has Shakib Khan in it. He is a superstar there. I am told, his last release was also a blockbuster.”

Mahendra Soni, the Director and Co-founder of SVF, shared, "We've previously collaborated with Chanchal Chowdhury on OTT content, and we've long planned to work with him on the big screen. I'm confident he will elevate 'Toofan' to new heights."

Shahriar Shakil, Managing Director of Alpha-I Studios Ltd., commented, "Shakib Khan's role in 'Toofan' will showcase him in a completely different light, and we needed a strong actor like Chanchal Bhai to do justice to the character. His involvement will undoubtedly enhance the film."

Redwan Roni, CEO of Chorki, praised Chanchal Chowdhury's talent, stating, "Chanchal Bhai is a source of pride for us, and his work is renowned beyond our borders. I've had the pleasure of working with him on several occasions, and I believe his presence in 'Toofan' will bring a new dimension to the movie."
