The wait for Jason Statham fans is finally over as the Indian audience can soon watch The Beekeeper from the comfort of their homes. The makers of The Beekeeper have unveiled the teaser of their film showing the action sequences and blood-filled violence that is soon going to unfold in front of your screens. Starring Jason Statham, Josh Hutcherson, and Bobby Naderi, the action-adventure film will be released on April 26 on Lionsgate Play as well as OTTplay Premium.

The makers of The Beekeeper have released the short teaser which showcases the madness and chaos featured in the film. From dangerous action sequences to powerful performances, the film is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

The Beekeeper plot

The plot of the film revolves around Mr Clay, a beekeeper who quits his job not knowing that uncertain circumstances are soon going to unfold that will send him back to his job. Mr Clay’s actions are motivated after his neighbour commits suicide after falling prey to financial fraud and loses everything. Clay goes out into the field to avenge the death of his neighbour.

The making of The Beekeeper was announced in 2022 and hit the theatres on January 12, 2024. As the film was not released in India, Jason Statham fans were waiting for the film to premiere on OTT.

The official synopsis of the film says, “In The Beekeeper, one man’s brutal campaign for vengeance takes on national stakes after he is revealed to be a former operative of a powerful and clandestine organisation known as ‘Beekeepers’."

Helmed by David Ayer, the film stars Jason Statham, alongside Josh Hutcherson, Bobby Naderi, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Phylicia Rashad, Minnie Driver and Jeremy Irons among others. Witness the adventures of Mr Clay as he avenges the death of his neighbour in this action-adventure film, which will be available to stream on Lionsgate Play from April 26.
