Mannix of the same name, the show will transport viewers to the fascinating, intricate, and crooked world of ancient Roman gladiatorial combat and chariot racing. On July 19, it will debut on Prime Video in some territories, including India.

Those About to Die synopsis and setting

Bread and Entertainment (Panem et Circenses), Rome, 79 A.D. As the Roman Empire expands, its capital becomes the richest city in the world, necessitating a massive influx of slave labourers to handle the increased workload. The promise of free food and spectacular entertainment, such as chariot races and gladiator battles, mostly subdued the restless and aggressive Roman citizenry. Those About to Die explores the gaming industry, which is known for its corruption, bloodlust, avarice, and desire for dominance. Four patrician-owned corporations, the Blue, Red, White, and Green factions, control the races at Circus Maximus; shares in these factions are Rome's most precious assets. A more cynical and violent society necessitates the Colosseum, a specifically constructed arena for gladiatorial conflict. Just like the underworld's thriving betting industry, the stadium, gladiatorial fights, and animal combats are massive. Hundreds of thousands of people, including thousands who will sacrifice their lives for the games, live and work underground, beneath the stands.

Among the esteemed actors and actresses featured in the production are Oscar winner Sir Anthony Hopkins (Emperor Vespasian), Iwan Rheon (Tenax), Tom Hughes (Titus Flavianus), Sara Martins (Cala), Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson (Viggo), Jojo Macari (Dominitian), Gabriella Pession (Antonia), Dimitri Leonidas (Scorpus), Emilio Sakraya (Xenon), Moe Hashim (Kwam), Rupert Penry Jones (Marsus), and so on.
