Director Sailesh Kolanu’s recently released HIT: The Third Case, featuring Nani, Srinidhi Shetty, and Prateik Smita Patil, received an A rating from the CBFC due to its violence. In an interview with Galatta Plus, the director confessed that the film's 'dark' themes even frightened his wife, Swati, Nani, and Prateik.

Sailesh Kolanu was questioned, 'What's up with you?'

Sailesh was inquired about the reaction of the film’s team when he presented the script of HIT 3, and he answered, “More than HIT 1 and HIT 2, HIT 3 ventures into a somewhat darker realm. One question I heard frequently was, what’s wrong with you? In reality, I’m not a very serious person; I’m quite goofy. It’s certainly a question that Nani asked me, and the actor who portrayed the antagonist (Prateik) also asked me. ”

Above all, Sailesh noted that the climax involving a baby was the moment that unsettled them, “Especially because it escalates to a certain level, but once the nine-month-old baby is introduced, it turns very twisted. I’m a father to a four-year-old boy. So, picture me writing that. It was very challenging for me, to be honest. Then, justice to the script has to be accomplished, so I needed to explore that. I still recall separating myself for several months while writing HIT 3. My wife is a bit frightened now after viewing the film. ”

HIT: The Third Case is the third installment in the HIT franchise, which began with HIT: The First Case (2020) and continued with HIT: The Second Case (2022). It follows the narrative of SP Arjun Sarkaar (Nani), who discovers the dark web while investigating a series of murders occurring nationwide that share the same modus operandi. Prateik portrays Alpha, the leader of a group of psychopaths yearning for freedom.
