While the advance booking phase has sky-rocketed with millions of tickets sold out, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan makers decided to re-edit the film now. The action-thriller is scheduled to release on April 10, just a day before Eid 2024, and this decision took the internet by storm within a few minutes. What is the reason behind re-editing? What went wrong?

Reason for the re-edit

According to Bollywood Hungama’s sources, the decision has been taken after a special screening of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was held yesterday night, on April 6 at Pooja Entertainment office. The source revealed, although the whole team is happy with the overall film, they believe that some more edits could make it more intriguing for the audiences. The production house’s goal is to ensure the film is perfect for the festive season of Eid, offering a fast-paced and entertaining watch without any unnecessary extra dragged part, which can make the audience bored.

The re-editing is currently under process, and will be re-send to the censor board on Monday, April 8. The source also revealed that Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff both are also working on the crisper cut with director Ali Abbas Zafar. The new version of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’s runtime will be 2 hours 35 minutes.

Half-day release of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan

 However, another big news has already been announced earlier in the evening today, that due to Eid’s date shifted to April 11, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Ajay Devgn's Maidaan’s morning shows are all cancelled, and will begin running in the theatres from the second half of the day. The makers will now feature paid previews starting from 6:00 pm on April 10, followed by a full-day release on April 11.
