Veteran actor Bharathiraja’s upcoming Tamil film Niram Maarum Ulagil is all set to be an emotionally charged drama The film is helmed by debutant Britto JB, who is known for directing several ads. The first-look poster was recently unveiled, which featured lead actors Bharathiraja, Natty, Sandy, and Rio Raj in an intense pose. The film is set to narrate four stories and will have parenting struggles as the central theme.  

What is the story of Niram Maarum Ulagil?

The story of the upcoming film Niram Maarum Ulagil is set to revolve around a young woman and an elderly person. The elderly person narrates the stories of four different people to bring a change in the perspective of the young woman.  

One of the four stories is set in Mumbai and stars Natty in the lead, while the other story is headlined by Rio Raj and set against the backdrop of Velankanni and Nagapattinam. The director emphasised that Rio Raj’s segment follows the lives of fishing folks in the area. On the other hand, the third segment headlined by Sandy will take place in Chennai and the Bharathiraja-starrer segment will happen in a village in Tiruttani.   

According to the director, all the four segments are set to have a common connection which is drawn as the central theme of the film. Inspired by true events, the film is set to narrate the various struggles undergone by parents. He also points out that each chapter is set to narrate different emotions and would resonate with the audience. The title of the film was inspired by how people change as situations change. 

Niram Maarum Ulagil cast and crew

The anthology film is set to feature an ensemble cast that includes Vadivukkarasi, Suresh Menon, Aadukalam Naren, Mime Gopi, Vigneshkanth, Rishikanth, Kaniha, Namo Narayana and Kaavya Arivumani who will be playing pivotal roles.  

While on the technical front, Niram Maarum Ulagil has music scored by Dev Prakash with Mallika Arjun and Manikanda Raja serving as the cinematographers. The film is currently in its post-production stages. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.
