Kadakan theatrical release date - The Hakkim Shajahan-starrer to be presented by Dulquer Salmaan in theatres on THIS day

The makers of Kadakan have confirmed that the film will hit the big screen soon. The action drama will release in theatres on February 23. The film has been censored with a UA certificate and will be distributed in theatres across the state by Dulquer Salmaan’s banner, Wayfarer Films.

Hakkim Shajahan, who is widely recognised for his role in Pranaya Vilasam and the short film Freedom @ Midnight, is playing the lead character in Kadakan.

The film is slated to release amongst other highly anticipated Malayalam films of 2024, such as Tovino Thomas’ Anweshippin Kandethum, Mammootty’s Bramayugam, and Biju Menon’s Thalavan. Soubin Shahir’s Manjummel Boys is also releasing in February. It remains to be seen on February 23 if this action drama will have a lasting impression on theatregoers.

First song of Kadakan went viral

The energetic music and action scenes in the music video for Kadakan's first song, Chowttum Kuthum, drew in viewers. Numerous people pointed out that the song resembled the song Pala Palli Thirupalli from Prithviraj Sukumaran's Kaduva.

The music video was also widely shared by users, who praised it for its powerful action and stunning visuals, evoking memories of other songs with a festive background. Athul Narukara has sung as well as penned the lyrics for this song. The soundtracks for Kadakan have been composed by Gopi Sundar.

Debutant Sajil Mampad has directed this film, which is bankrolled by Khaleel. Bodhi and Sasi Kumar Mampad have written the screenplay for Kadakan. The movie, which is touted to be a full-fledged action drama, has Sarath Sabha, Fahiz Bin Rifai, Nirmal Palazhi, Harisree Asokan, Jaffar Idukki, Manikandan R Achari, Sinoj Varghese, Sona Olickal, Pradeep Balan, Dinesh Prabhakar, Meenakshi Raveendran, and Bibin Perumpilly in supporting roles.

Filmmaker Ranjith is also playing a prominent role in this film. Jazin Jaseel has helmed the camera work, while Shameer Muhammed is the editor. Arshad Nakkoth is the production designer.
