Iman Chakraborty is a National Award-winning singer who mesmerizes her audience with Tagore’s songs, folk music, as well as modern songs. She has a huge number of fans on social media as well. She gets mobbed in the streets. But this time, something new happened.

Iman shared a black-and-white photo on social media. She said this photo was taken when she was 21 years old. However, it is hard to understand from the photo. Iman retains her beauty still now. Though she claims that she looks older than her age. Iman wrote ‘I have always looked than my actual age. If I went outside with an older sister, people thought I was the older one. I smiled at them, however, I got angry inside.”

Then she went on, “Now the problem has increased. Everyone calls me Didi. Let them. A person who is 45 tries to touch my feet out of respect. This is so weird! Please don’t do it. I don’t need ‘feet touching’ respect from the elder people and increase my sin. I give blessings to old and young, everyone. Happy?’

Iman is known to be an outspoken person. She sometimes gives fitting replies to the trollers. She bagged a National Award at a very young age for the song Tumi Onyo Karo Songe Bedho Ghar from Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy’s Praktan. Her other popular songs are Tapa Tini, Rangabati, O Jiban Tomar Sathe, Alada Alada etc

Iman recently lamented ‘People behave like I have no talent and I got the projects because I stayed with someone. They think I get the shows because I upload photos and videos on Instagram. Speaking these things proves your bad taste, not mine.’
