13 days ago | 5 Views
The recently premiered film Nadaaniyan has faced considerable derision in the online community, with numerous social media users ridiculing the acting abilities of Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor, as well as the film's dialogue. Nevertheless, Ibrahim appears undeterred by the criticism. He demonstrated this by sharing a screenshot that highlighted the film's low IMDb rating.
Ibrahim re-posts 4.5/10 Nadaaniyan IMDb rating
On Monday, Ibrahim Ali Khan shared a fan's story on his Instagram account, which displayed a disappointing IMDb rating for the film, marking his entry into the acting industry. The screenshot revealed a rating of 4.5/10, along with the percentage of users who rated the film between 6 and 10. However, the fan's screenshot did not include any ratings below 6/10.
A user by the handle @ibrahimsishq posted the IMDb ratings screenshot, stating, “almost 75% gave it 10 stars on IMDB.”
Ibrahim, the son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, re-shared the story on Instagram. Although his post is no longer visible, the original story can still be found in the highlights section of the fan page, labeled "Ibrahim noticed."

The screenshot also circulated on Reddit, where many users questioned the rationale behind his decision to share the unfavorable rating of his debut film. One user remarked, “If 75% gave it 10, how is the rating 4.5?” while another commented, “How did 4.5 become a high rating on that app?”
Despite users rating Nadaaniyan as 10/10, the film currently holds a 4.8 rating on IMDb. It is noted that 77.9% of users awarded the title a 10/10 rating, but IMDb employs an algorithm to identify unusual voting patterns, applying an alternative weighting calculation to maintain the integrity of the rating system.
Regarding IMDb ratings, the platform publishes weighted vote averages instead of simple arithmetic averages. While it considers all user votes, not all votes carry the same influence on the final rating.
