Geethanjali Malli Vachindi is Anjali's comeback film as the main lead after a very long gap. The film is the sequel to Anjali's hit film Geethanjali and was produced by Kona Venkat. Well, we at OTTplay have already reported that Amazon Prime has bagged the digital rights of the film and the news is that Geethanjali Malli Vachindi will stream from May 10, 2024.

The makers promoted the sequel in a very aggressive manner and even released the first look teaser in a graveyard. The horror comedy was released on April 11, 2024, and ended as a massive flop. Right from the first show onwards, the word of mouth for this film was very bad.

Though the makers tried hard to keep the film in the news through extensive promotions, Geethanjali Malli Vacchindi did not survive at the box office. However, it will be out on OTT within a month of its release, as the makers have struck a deal with Amazon for an early digital release.

Kona Venkat, the producer, spent a lot of money on the promotions, but sadly, nothing worked. The word in the film circles is that Amazon Prime has spent a decent amount to bag the OTT rights of the film. Shakalaka Shankar, Satyam Rajesh, Srinivasa Reddy, and others played key roles in this film, which was made under a budget of Rs 10 crore.

Kona Venkat was quite upset with the critics for slamming the film and said the general audience loved Geethanjali Malli Vacchindi big time. But sadly, all that was not reflected in the box office numbers of the film, and the horror comedy will be out on OTT within a month of its release.
