February is considered to be a dull month for movie releases. As the students are busy with their exams, not many producers are keen to release their films during this time. In February 2024, not many big films were released, and the ones that did also failed at the box office. Let's discuss this aspect in detail.

Staring with big-budget films, only Ravi Teja's Eagle and Rajinakanth's Lal Salaam were the films that were released in February. But sadly, both these films flopped at the box office. Lal Salaam was dubbed in Telugu and ended as a massive disaster and was out in just two days of its release. Eagle started well but fell flat after its first weekend.

Next in line are medium-budget films. Ambajipeta Marriage Band, Ooru Peru Bhairavakona, and Yatra 2 were promoted and released on a grand note. While Ambajipeta and Ooru Peru Bhairavakona ended as safe ventures, Yatra 2 ended as a flop at the box office.

As many as 20 films were released in February but sadly not one film ended as a blockbuster hit at the box office. There were so many low-budget films like Siddharth Roy, Mashtu Shades Unnai Ra, Sundaram Master, Mukhya Jamanika, Dheera, Kismat, Game On, and Bootcut Balaraju ended as disasters at the box office.

A few dub films like Bramayugam and Premalu which had a direct release in Malayalam in Telugu did well at the box office and some extra screens were added for these films. None of the films that were released created an impact at the Tollywood box office and now the onus is on March 2024 as some big films like Bhimaa, Tillu Square, Operation Valentine, Gaami, Mantra, and many more films will be released.
