Family Star had some of the biggest names from Telugu cinema behind the project. But sadly, no one could do anything as the film has made a disastrous start at the box office. From the US premieres itself, Family Star started with negative feedback. We at have already reported that Family Star made Rs 5.2 crore gross on day one in Telugu states.

Family Star - day two collections

Things have become even worse as Family Star crashed at the box office on day two. The numbers are out, and the family drama has made only Rs 2.5 crore on day two, which is shocking. The numbers are so low that Family Star made only Rs 80 lakh in the state of Telangana on day two, where Vijay has a stronghold.

The weekend, holiday season, and other promotions could not prevent the film from crashing at the box office. Generally, a star-hero film works at least for the first weekend, even if it is declared a flop, but Family Star has fallen flat on day two itself. It is shocking to see the audience reject the film in such a manner. Amazon Prime Video has bagged the OTT rights to the film, and seeing the way the film is performing in theatres, the OTT release might also be advanced. 

Tillu Square collections better than Family Star in many areas

This shocking low collection and negative feedback have given last week's release, Tillu Square, a huge advantage. Thanks to the negative feedback for Family Star, the collections of the Siddhu Jonnalagadda starrer picked up big time. In fact, Tillu Square made close to Rs 1 crore on its ninth day, whereas Family Star made only Rs 80 lakh.

Dil Raju, the producer, is trying hard to keep the film in the news, but nothing is helping Family Star. The numbers are as bad as Vijay Deverakonda's last flop, Liger, which was also a washout at the box office. Fans are upset with Vijay Deverakonda for selecting such a dull script. The way Family Star is performing, it will be out of theatres in the next two or three days.
