DNA is an upcoming Tamil film starring actors Atharvaa Murali and Nimisha Sajayan in the lead roles. The makers released the first look poster for the film, which is directed by filmmaker Nelson Venkatesan, who last made Farhana.

The first look poster has hues of brown and red, with Atharvaa sporting a beard and intense look. On the other side, we see him sharing a tender and loving moment with Nimisha Sajayan. There is a line that reads, "Two strands wind around each other to make a twister ladder," further piquing interest in the project. The film stars Atharvaa and Nimisha Sajayan in the lead roles and it is also their first onscreen collaboration.

DNA is written and directed by Nelson Venkatesan, who has earlier made films like Farhana and Monster. The film is backed by Jayanthi Ambethkumar, who also produced the 2023 hit film Dada. The makers have not revealed the rest of the cast information of DNA. The film is set to release in theatres soon, although a date has yet to be announced. The technical crew of DNA includes cinematographer Parthiban and VJ Sabu Joseph handling the edits.

Nimisha Sajayan’s growing presence in Tamil

Nimisha, who started her career in Malayalam, has been choosing sensible and unique scripts in Tamil. The actor was seen in two of 2023’s best films, Chittha and Jigarthanda DoubleX. The actor was last seen in Prime Video series Poacher, which got positive response and AL Vijay’s film Mission: Chapter 1. She is also part of Netflix’s upcoming series, Dabba Cartel. 

On the other hand, Atharvaa, who was last seen in Pattathu Arasan and the series Mathagam, has Nirangal Moondru with filmmaker Karthick Naren. The actor is also set to team up with filmmaker Rajesh for an out-and-out entertainer. Aditi Shankar, the daughter of director S Shankar, has also been cast as the female lead.
