In response to the high demand for a Telugu version, prominent producer Allu Aravind secured the rights and launched the film in Telugu on March 7, 2025. With considerable anticipation surrounding the release, Chhaava made a strong debut, earning ₹3 crore on its opening day across the Telugu states.

The film experienced a remarkable increase in performance on its second day, generating ₹3.5 crore, which surpasses its first-day earnings, thanks to overwhelmingly positive word of mouth. This upward trend signifies the growing appeal of Chhaava among Telugu viewers. Consequently, the film's total net collection now stands at ₹6.5 crore. Notably, lead actor Vicky Kaushal did not engage in promoting the Telugu version, yet the audience response has been extraordinary. One can only speculate on the potential impact had he traveled to Hyderabad to actively endorse the film.

One significant element that has played a role in the film's success is the inclusion of Rashmika Mandanna, a prominent actress in Telugu cinema, in the leading female role. Furthermore, Chhaava has gained an advantage from the absence of major Telugu film releases this week, as only a handful of low-budget films have been released, none of which are likely to significantly impact its box office results.

Director Laxman Utekar recently spoke to the media in Hyderabad, conveying his appreciation for the enthusiastic reception from Telugu viewers. Chhaava continues to demonstrate remarkable momentum, poised to generate substantial profits for producer Allu Aravind and his team, under the leadership of Bunny Vas. The film's music, composed by A.R. Rahman, has sparked considerable discussion for various reasons.

Although some critics have labeled Chhaava as a propaganda piece that negatively depicts Mughal emperors to foster a Hindu-Muslim divide, this controversy has not hindered its box office success. Viewers are still responding positively to Vicky Kaushal’s compelling performance in this historical drama. It remains to be seen how much additional revenue Chhaava will accrue in the upcoming days.
