This historical drama, which premiered last month, has surpassed ₹500 crore in box office earnings in India. In the film, Vicky Kaushal portrays the historical figure of Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

On Saturday, Vicky Kaushal utilized his Instagram account to convey his sincere appreciation for the remarkable box office performance of Chhaava. He posted an update regarding the film's earnings, revealing that it had generated ₹502.7 crores at the Indian box office within just 22 days of its release.

In her caption, Vicky expressed, "The contributions you have made to #Chhaava transcend mere figures… you have infused it with deep emotion. You have carried forward the legacy of Chhatrapathi Sambhaji Maharaj and genuinely honored his greatness! We are sincerely thankful to each and every one of you. About Chhaava

Chaava is adapted from the Marathi novel of the same name by Shivaji Sawant. The film features prominent performances by Diana Penty, Divya Dutta, and Ashutosh Rana. During his recent speech at the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan held at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended the film.

He remarked, “It is Maharashtra and Mumbai that have elevated Hindi cinema alongside Marathi films. Currently, Chhaava is creating a significant impact.”
